John Gibson Memorial Medal
(New in 2017)
Awarded by the Maleny Rangers Football Club committee to a club member who makes a significant and enduring contribution towards progressing the footballing culture of the Maleny Rangers Football Club. Their actions result in a greater appreciation and understanding of the game by players and club members.
This award honours the memory of John Gibson who passed away in 2017. John was the club president of Maleny Rangers Soccer Club (seniors) when it merged with Maleny Churches Panthers Soccer Club (juniors) in 1995 to form the Maleny Rangers Football Club as we know it today.

Joyce Newton Club Person of the Year
(Formerly Club Person of the Year. Renamed in 2017).
Awarded to a Committee member who volunteers tirelessly and works for the benefit of the club. They do not ask for thanks and readily partake in club activities.
This award honours Joyce Newton who was the club president of Maleny Churches Panthers Soccer Club (juniors) when it merged with Maleny Rangers Soccer Club (seniors) in 1995 to form the Maleny Rangers Football Club as we know it today.

Coach of the Year
Is for a Coach who puts more in to the club than just coaching. They can be seen at Club events such as working bees and fundraising activities. David Feurst Award
David was a 12 year old boy who was tragically taken in a freak accident many years ago. He lived for soccer and played only for the Maleny Club. He was a representative player and his goal was to play for the Brisbane Strikers. An indication of his stature and dedication is shown in the fact this trophy was donated by the then Sunshine Coast Soccer Association. The trophy is for a junior player who displays outstanding skill and ability and potential to achieve higher honours.
